Pro golfer, Swedish TV star Jesper Parnevik buys 3-bedroom home in Jupiter for $1.23 million

Swedish professional golfer and realty TV star Jesper Parnevik and his wife Mia are digging the Old Florida beach vibe of the Ocean Walk community in Jupiter, paying $1.23 million for a 3-bedroom home steps from the water.

The Parneviks, who sold their waterfront mansion in Tequesta for $9 million in June, plan to gut the Jupiter home on Angelfish Lane “to the studs” and start fresh, said Echo Fine Properties Realtor Suzanne Slate, who represented the seller in the Feb. 1 sale.

Slate said the price is the highest paid per square foot for an unrenovated property in the neighborhood, but was no slam dunk. The Parneviks were in Europe during part of the pandemic and traveling but closed in two weeks once they decided to buy.

“They just really liked the community and the house so after a few rounds of back and forth, they decided they were in,” Slate said about the couple, whose Florida-based reality show ran for four seasons on Swedish TV.

Ocean Walk is considered a luxury boutique community of about 185 homes nestled between Federal Highway and the ocean and north of the Jupiter Beach Club. The two-story house on Angelfish Lane was built in 1980 and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The Parneviks, who have four adult children, were represented by Waterfront Properties Realtor Angela Voland.

Voland said the couple were drawn to the home’s proximity to the ocean. They had been looking at oceanfront properties, including on Singer Island, while debating whether they wanted to get involved in a prolonged renovation project.

“My wife has been peaking in there the last 20 years but there’s never anything for sale,” Jesper Parnevik said about Ocean Walk. “We did the Intracoastal and we had the boat and we wanted to try something different.”

Parnevik, 56, is know for his eclectic and colorful style, wearing a baseball cap with the bill flipped up for years before switching things up with boater-style straw hat. A 2016 article on PGA.com called Parnevik a PGA Tour fashion pioneer.

Parnevik said the couple was looking to downsize from their 9-bedroom Tequesta home, joking that a smaller house would limit their number of visitors.

“It’s very dark and very cold in Sweden this time of year, so I’m sure they are going to come knocking anyway,” he said.
