Footballer phenom Christian Pulisic tied to $1.8 million home buy in Palm Beach County
Long known as a magnet for professional golfers, Palm Beach County has now attracted a footballer phenom and captain of the U.S. men’s national soccer team to a waterfront home in Jupiter.
Christian Pulisic, whose skilled footwork while playing in England earned him the nickname “Captain America,” is tied to a limited liability corporation that bought a 4-bedroom home in the 19000 block of Wilkinson Leas Road.
Purchased for $1.8 million in early 2020, the home is inside a gated community on the north fork of the Loxahatchee River. It includes a boat dock, pool and putting green, which is featured in at least one video on Pulisic’s Instagram account.
“It’s the weather,” said Echo Fine Properties President Jeff Lichtenstein about what attracts athletes to Palm Beach County and South Florida in general. “If they are coming especially from South America or Mexico, Miami may be an attractive area for them.”
But the lack of a state income tax may also be a draw.
Pulisic, 23, agreed to a $73 million move to Chelsea Football Club from Borussia Dortmund of Germany in 2019. The deal made him the most expensive America soccer player of all time, according to the Wall Street Journal.

When it was announced in June that the 2026 World Cup would be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Pulisic said he was looking forward to seeing matches in Miami because his family had moved to the area.
The 2020 Jupiter purchase was done under the corporate name CMP Resolute 2. Pulisic’s middle name is Mate, making his initials CMP. The corporation’s manager is listed as Kelley Pulisic, who is Christian Pulisic’s mother.
Pulisic also registered to vote using the Jupiter address in June.
The home was previously purchased in May 2012 for $1.06 million. National real estate firm Redfin now estimates its value at $3.3 million.
Pulisic is a native of Hershey, Penn. and a soccer prodigy who went to play for Dortmund’s youth team when he was just 16.
This year he will lead the U.S. men’s team in the FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar Nov. 21 to Dec. 18.
The Premier League season begins this weekend, meaning Pulisic’s visits to Jupiter may be limited. But it seems clear from his social media posts he enjoys South Florida’s sunshine and boating when in town.
Pulisic stirred controversy in July 2021 when a video was posted online of him dribbling a soccer ball off the side of a boat above a goliath grouper that was hooked in the water. He then fell out of the boat onto the grouper.
Goliath grouper had been protected in Florida and federal waters until recent changes allowed for a 3-month, highly regulated harvest in state waters beginning in March 2023.
A spokesperson for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the incident was reported and given to the agency’s Internet crimes division. As of Friday there was no written report for the incident.
Pulisic could not be reached for comment for this story.
