Mirasol Builder May Be For Sale!

Reports are circulating on the Internet late this afternoon that the builder of The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Taylor Morrison and affiliate Taylor Woodrow are up for sale.  JP Morgan Chase has been hired to provide advice on the sale.

Taylor Morrison, the No.1 for-profit private homebuilder in the United States, builds homes in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, California, and Florida and also operates under the Monarch brand in Canada.  In our area, they shared the spotlight with Toll Brothers and WCI before they went under. Taylor Morrison, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taylor Wimpey, a firm out of the UK, builds housing in California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Florida.  In Florida, it is best known for its 2,000 homes at the Country Club at Mirasol, a club where the PGA Tour held their Honda Classic for three years before moving it back to the PGA National Resort and Spa.

The luxury community of Mirasol has 2 golf courses, a 50,000 square foot Grand Clubhouse, 15 tennis courts, covered driving range, Esplanade Spa & Fitness Center, and an Olympic-sized pool.  When built, it joined other clubs in the area like BallenIsles, Old Palm, Old Marsh, and Frenchman’s Creek.
