Located on the ground floor of the Two City Plaza building, Dino Laudati is truly a master of his trade. Dino has been a hairdresser for over 40 years and is one of only 420 Board Certified Master Haircolorists in the U.S! Dino and his wife Marianne have been in business for over 38 years together. I had a chance to sit down with Marianne, the salon’s coordinator, to ask her a few questions about running this successful business with her husband:

Q: How did the business start?

M: “My husband, Dino, has been a hairdresser all of his adult life. We moved from Massachusetts to Palm Beach in 1976 and opened our first salon two years later. We operated in Palm Beach for 25 years before moving to downtown West Palm 14 years ago.”

Q: What is the best part of working in West Palm Beach?

M: “You get to meet people from all over the world.”

Q: What are you best known for and why?

M: Great hair color. People come from all over the state to get their hair colored here. We do a lot of color correction.”

Q: Why should a customer choose your business over others?

M: “Dino and his staff continue to travel for advanced education every year, and he trains all of his staff personally. He’s a master hair colorist, a master of his art.”

Q: When a customer walks into your business, they can expect…?

M: “To be treated like family. They can also expect a great experience. We pride ourselves on doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.

Q: Do you live in downtown West Palm?

M: “Yes, we live at Two City Plaza so we have a no-stress commute. Work is just an elevator ride away. We have been living there for 2 years now.”

Q: What do you like most about living at Two City Plaza?

M: “Being able to walk anywhere: theaters, dining, shopping, and the beach.”

Q: How do you like the amenities at Two City Plaza?

M: “Our pool is huge and heated. Never crowded. I also use the steam and sauna on the pool deck. The gym is large and state-of-the-art. The indoor theatre is super comfortable with reclining seats. The outdoor theatre is great for sporting events and concerts. Sometimes we feel like we are living on  a luxury cruise ship. “

Q: What’s your favorite restaurant in downtown West Palm?

M: “We like Pistache, Hot Pie Pizza, Lynora’s, Morton’s, and Cheesecake Factory.”

Q: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

M: “Walk to the beach or go for brunch and then walk along the lake.”
